Pinprayoon Named Big 12 Women's Golfer of the Week

IRVING, Texas - Iowa State Sophomore Nichakorn Pinprayoon has been named the Big 12 Women's Golfer of the Week. This is the second time this spring Pinprayoon has earned the honor.

Pinprayoon became the second Iowa State player to break 200 over 54 holes, posting a 17-under 199 to capture her second tournament victory of the year at the Wyoming Cowgirl Golf Classic. Her 199 was the second-lowest in school history behind teammate Karisa Chul-Ak-Sorn's 191 in 2023.

The sophomore from Thailand bogeyed just once in 54 holes, using 18 birdies to turn in three scorecards in the 60's and earn her second Big 12 Golfer of the Week honor. The Cyclones finished the tournament with a 26-under score at the Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club to win their second consecutive team title, this one by 23 strokes.

Pinprayoon and the 25th-ranked Cyclones return to action on Friday at the Therese Hession Buckeye Invitational in Columbus, Ohio.
