AMES, IOWA - Winning 13 of 16 events, the Iowa State swimming and diving team bested the St. Olaf Oles, 168-122, on Friday in Northfield, Minn. Senior Kim Rogers took first place in the 100 backstroke (58.98) and 200 backstroke (2:06.45).
Sophomore Lindsay Wiesner touched the wall first in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:12.15. Wiesner also placed first in the 400 individual medley (4:53.54).
In the 50 freestyle, Lindsay Wegner took top honors for ISU with a time of 25.23. Krista Fehl and Lauren Breunig finished first and second, respectively, in the 100 breaststroke with times of 1:07.82 and 1:09.31.
The 200 medley relay team of Jamie Wieben, Marni Benson, Wiesner, and Cassandra Nelson finished first (1:51.32) with the team of Breunig, Fehl, Wegner, and Kelly Matzen taking runner-up honors in a time of 1:51.60.
In diving, freshman Haley Haynes finished first on the 1-meter board with a score of 176.85. Sophomore Kali Fryklund followed in second place, finishing with 156.60 points.
