AMES, Iowa -- Brittany Machacek, a 2007 state regional 400-meter champion from Cypress Texas, has signed a national letter of intent to attend Iowa State this fall. Machacek owns a personal best of 54.38, which won her a regional title for Cyfair High School. She placed third in the 2006 Texas Class 5A state meet 400-meter final in 55.32. Machacek, a five-time Texas district champion, broke her own 400-meter district record by winning in 2007 with a time of 55.80 seconds
Machacek owns school records in the 100-meters, 200-meters, 400 meters and was a part of Cyfair school record relay teams in the 4 x 100-meters, 4 x 200-meters, 4 x 400-meters and the distance medley.
