Cyclones Head West to Falcon Invitational

AMES, Iowa ? Fresh off their first-place finish at the Big Four Championship, the Cyclone men's golf team will travel to Colorado Springs, Colo., for the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational. The tournament takes place Sept. 8-9 and is hosted by the Air Force Academy.
Competition will take place at the Eisenhower Golf Club, a 7,301-yard, par-72 layout. Tee times begin at 8:15 a.m. on both days.
Last year, ISU tied for sixth in the tournament. Xavier won the team title. Joe Cermak and Chris Baker led
Baker looks to continue his torrid pace, claiming medalist honors at the Big Four Championship on Tuesday. The senior also broke the record for an 18-hold round, firing a second-round 64. He overtook his own previous mark of 66, also shared by seven other Cyclones, set in 2005 at the Missouri Bluffs Intercollegiate. The Cyclones also broke the 18-hole team mark by carding a 272 in the second round of the Big Four Championship.
