AMES, Iowa ? Fall play resumes Monday for the Iowa State men's golf team in Reno, Nev., where they will compete in the Wolf Pack Classic. The tournament will consist of 54 holes over two days of play, Oct. 6-7. The University of Nevada will host the 13-team field at the Wolf Run Golf Club (par-72, 7,100 yards). Among the teams in the field will be conference opponent Kansas State, currently rated 31st by Golfweek.
The Cyclones have had repeated success at the Wolf Pack Classic during the last two seasons. In 2006, Joe Cermak, Rodney Hamblin and Chris Baker all finished in the top-10 en route to ISU's first team title since 2004. The team's combined score of 842 still stands as ISU's school record for a 54-hole tournament. Last season, Baker and Cermak again finished in the top-10, as the Cyclones finished runner-up to Arizona.
