AMES, Iowa ? Iowa State travels to Orlando, Fla. to compete in the Rio Pinar Invitational Feb. 25 and 26 at the Rio Pinar Country Club. The par-72, 7,003-yard course will field 18 teams, including Iowa State. Chattanooga returns to the contest as the defending champion. Central Florida will play host to the event.
The 56-hole tournament begins at 8 a.m. on each day with 36 holes of competition on day one and 18 to follow the next.
The Cyclones look to build on the success of their fall campaign. ISU took home two team titles while senior Chris Baker garnered five top-5 finishes in six events. The Brownstown Ind. native leads all Cyclones with a 70.63 stroke average.
