WAYZATA, Minn. ? Iowa State shot a second-round 315 and ended the day in 12th place Saturday afternoon at the Gopher Invitational in Wayzata, Minn. LSU leads the team race with a four-stroke advantage over Texas and the Tigers' John Peterson sits atop the individual leaderboard after carding a 70.
The Cyclones were paced by junior Ben Herrera who fired a 2-over 74. Herrera was aided by an eagle on the par-5 No. 16 and is currently tied for 39th. Thomas Lathrop shot a 78 for ISU and is tied for 48th.
The tournament will conclude tomorrow with the final 18 holes starting at 8 a.m.
