MEMPHIS, Tenn.- After one round of play at the Memphis Intercollegiate the Iowa State men's golf team is in fifth place. South Alabama leads the 16-team field at 296. ISU fired a 304 and will look to close in on the leaders as round two and three are completed tomorrow.
Nate McCoy led the Cyclones in round one with a 75 and is in a tie for 11th place. Ben Herrera, Tom Lathrop, Jacob Aaholm and Nathan Leary are also competing for ISU. The tournament leader is Marc-Ettienne Bussieres of South Alabama with a 71.
Teams will finish the second round, which was suspended due to darkness, then play the third and final round.
