AMES, Iowa ? The Iowa State men's golf team will travel to West Lafayette, Ind., April 18-19 for the Boilermaker Invitational. The two-day 54-hole tournament is ISU's last before competing at the Big 12 Championships, April 26-28. Purdue will play host to the tournament at the Kampen Course (par 72, 7,465 yards), a part of the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex.
The Cyclones will face a loaded field of 17 other teams which includes intrastate rival Iowa, six other Big Ten teams; among them, two teams ranked in Golfweek's top 15 (Indiana and Illinois).

Junior Ben Herrera, who tied for third at last week's Tiger Intercollegiate, will lead the young Cyclone team. Sophomore Nathan Leary and freshmen Tom Lathrop, Nate McCoy and Michael Wuertz will also compete for ISU.
The tournament will follow standard format, with 36 holes on day one and 18 holes on day two. Complete results will be posted on cyclones.com at the conclusion of each day.
