WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. ? Cyclone golfer Ben Herrera continued his great spring campaign after carding back-to-back rounds of 71 Saturday at the Boilermaker Invitational in West Lafayette, Ind. The junior led all Cyclone golfers and finished the day in seventh place. Iowa State fired a two-round score of 584 and ended the day tied with host Purdue and Wisconsin for sixth place.
Penn State is currently in the lead with a 569 while Nittany Lion golfer Kevin Foley leads the medallist race after rounds of 69 and 66.
Tom Lathrop (146), Nate McCoy (147) and Michael Wuertz (149) all contributed scores for ISU. Lathrop and McCoy both finished in the top 30 on the leaderboard.
The Boilermaker Invitational will wrap up tomorrow after 18 holes. Complete results will be posted on cyclones.com
