Gibb Wins Iowa PGA Sectional

HARVESTER, Iowa- Iowa State assistant men's golf coach Judd Gibb won the 2009 Iowa PGA Section Championship on Tuesday, firing rounds of 72-70-71 at the Harvester Golf Club in Harverster, Iowa. Gibb's 3-under tally earned him a sudden death playoff spot with Curt Schnell, where Gibb won the first hole to claim the title.
With the win, Gibb earned a spot in the 2010 PGA Professional National Championship at French Lick Resort in French Lick, Ind., and a tournament slot at next year's John Deere Classic at the TPC at Deere Run in Silvis, Ill.
A native of Ft. Dodge, Iowa, Gibb competed on the ISU golf team from 1987-92. He joined the ISU men's golf staff in May of 2008.
