ANN ARBOR, Mich.- The Iowa State men's golf team sits in a three way tie for sixth place after two rounds of the Wolverine Invitational. The Cyclones carded a 5-over par 584 through two rounds of play. Michigan, the host team, is in first place comfortably after shooting a 555, 11 strokes ahead of second-place Arkansas.
Ben Herrera paced the Cyclones with a 144 and is tied for 17th place heading into the third and final round tomorrow. Nathan Leary is currently tied for 20th and in his first start for the Cyclones, Jacob Aaholm is in a tie for 31st place. The overall leader is Michigan's Lion Kim, who fired a 136.
The final 18 holes will begin tomorrow at 8:30 am, as the Cyclones look to continue their strong performance in this 14-team field.
