Leary Steers Team Into Sixth Place at Firestone Invitational

AKRON, Ohio-The Iowa State men's golf team is in sixth place after two rounds at the Firestone Invitational. Indiana currently sits at the front of the 13-team pack at 564. ISU fired a 287 in the first round and a 293 in the second round for two-round 580 total.
Nathan Leary shot a 3-under 69 in round one and a 73 in round two for a 142 two-round total, putting him in a tie for seventh place. Nate McCoy is tied for 11th with a two-round total of 143. Michael Wuertz is tied for 29th at 146.
The tournament will conclude with 18 holes tomorrow.
