TRINITY, Texas- The Iowa State men's golf team is currently in 10th place after three rounds at the Big 12 Championship. ISU has a team score of 905 (300-294-311) with one round to play. After 54 holes, Oklahoma State is in the lead. The Cowboys are pacing the 12-team field with a team score of 851. The Texas Longhorns are in second place (853).
Sophomore Nate McCoy leads the Cyclones. McCoy is in a tie for 25th with a 221. Ben Herrera is at 225 through three rounds, and in 38th place. Tom Lathrop, Nathan Leary, and Jacob Aaholm are also competing for Iowa State.
Texas Tech's Chris Ward continues to lead the race for medalist honors, shooting a 205 heading into final round action.
The Cyclones will look to continue their ascent up the leaderboard as the play the final 18 on Sunday.
