Herrera Ties For 16th at NCAA East Regional

NEW HAVEN, Conn.- Iowa State senior golfer Ben Herrera shot a 70 this afternoon to finish in a tie for 16th at the NCAA East Regional in New Haven, Conn.
Herrera ended the tournament with a three-day 209 total while producing the third-best individual finish for a Cyclone in NCAA Regional competition. Herrera had rounds of 71-68-70.
The Urbandale, Iowa, native caps off an outstanding career with the Cyclones. His stroke average of 72.87 is the best career scoring clip in school history. He ends the season with a 72.19 stroke average, the second-best single-season scoring mark in the ISU annals.
