Coach Tank Previews Bridgestone Collegiate

AMES, Iowa - The Iowa State men's golf team prepares for its final tournament of the fall season at the Bridgestone Golf Collegiate, Oct. 29-30. Iowa State recently placed third at the Firestone Invitational. The squad has finished in the top four on three occasions.
Senior Nate McCoy continues to lead the team with three top-10 finishes in four appearances, including medalist honors at the Rees Jones Invitational. McCoy currently has nine top-10 finishes and a 73.59 stroke average in his career.
Scott Fernandez has also aided the team with two top-10 finishes. The freshman won medalist honors at the VCU Shootout with a 205, the second-best 54-hole tally in school history. Fernandez tallied a 66 on the first round to tie for the second-lowest score in the Cyclone record book.
