Cyclones 11th Going Into Final Day At First Tee Classic

LITTLE ROCK, Ark.-The Iowa State men's golf team is in a three-way tie for 11th after two rounds of play at the First Tee Classic. Southern Mississippi and Missouri are leading the 17-team pack at 586, two strokes ahead of third-place Louisville (588).
Iowa State fired a 603 in two rounds, four strokes behind 10th place Louisiana Tech (599). Borja Virto set the pace for the Cyclones, firing a 73 in the first round and a 76 in the second, tying him for 29th place. Nate McCoy is tied for 36th after the first 36 holes and goes into the final round of play at 150.
The tournament will finish with the final round tomorrow.
