Cyclones Head To VCU Shootout

AMES, Iowa- The Iowa State men's golf team is back in action, Sept. 26-27 at the VCU Shootout in Richmond, Va. The young Cyclones, who had two freshmen and two sophomores in the lineup in their first meet, placed eighth at the Wolverine Intercollegiate a week ago.
Senior Nate McCoy, one of the nation's top amateur golfers, led the Cyclones with his seventh top-10 performance in Ann Arbor. McCoy will try and defend his title at the VCU Shootout. The West Des Moines native won his first career tournament in Richmond last season, carding a career-low 208.
