SAN ANTONIO - The Cyclones men's golf team is currently in 10th place at the 15-team UTSA/Oak Hills Invitational. The Cyclones shot a 302 and 289 this afternoon, only five strokes out of fifth place. In first place is Oklahoma (572), led by Abraham Ancer, who is tied for first place in the individual medalist race (139).
Nate McCoy is at the front of the Cyclone pack, carding one under-par 71 in his first round and even par 72 in the seoncd to put him in a tie him for ninth place at 143. Freshman
Scott Fernandez tallied a 66 in the second round to tie for his career-low round and move him into a tie for 19th place (145).
The final 18 holes of the tournament will be tomorrow.
