PALM DESERT, Calif. - The Iowa State men's golf team is currently in 11th place out of 24 teams at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate. The Cyclones shot a 293 in the first round, 13 shots behind first-place UNLV at 279.
The second round was suspended due to darkness. Competitors will complete the second round and finish up with the final 18 holes tomorrow.
Scott Fernandez was the Cyclone team leader, firing a 72 to sit in a tie for 23rd. Nate McCoy and Borja Virto are both tied for 34th after carding a pair of 73s.
