SUGAR GROVE, Ill. – The Iowa State men's golf team is in eighth place after one round at the Northern Intercollegiate Classic. The second round was postponed due to darkness and will be finished tomorrow morning followed by the third and final round.
The Cyclones shot a first-round 315. UCF is in the lead after the first round at 301.
Iowa State's Scott Fernandez is tied for fourth after firing a first-round 74. Zach Steffen shot a first-round 77 to sit in a tie for 18th. Steffen is playing as an individual. The tournament will conclude tomorrow.
