Fernandez Jumps Into Lead After Second-Round 66

TUCSON, Ariz. – Senior Scott Fernandez continued his excellent play at the NIT, carding a second-round 66 to catapult himself into the lead in the medalist race.
Fernandez, who recorded his fourth sub-70 round of the season and his 22nd of his career, will have a two-shot advantage heading into tomorrow's final round.
As a team, the Cyclones are in 11th place after posting a 289 tally this afternoon (588). California made a big run up the team leaderboard to hold the top spot at 571.
Sophomore Ruben Sondjaja is tied for 51st after posting another 75 today (150). Sam Daley and Nick Voke are tied for 55th at 151.
The NIT concludes with the final round tomorrow.
