Cyclones Tie For Ninth At Gopher Invite

INDEPENDENCE, Minn. ? The Iowa State men's golf team tied for ninth at the Gopher Invitational, posting a three-round 892 total (287-302-303) in its first tournament of the season.
Oklahoma ran away with the team title at 854, 21 shots better than second-place California.
Junior Nick Voke had an outstanding tournament for the Cyclones, finishing in a tie for third at 215 (68-72-75) to earn his ninth career top-10 finish. Voke recorded his 17th career round in the 60s with a 68 in round one.
Junior Ruben Sondjaja tied for 27th at 222 and junior Jack Carter tied for 50th at 226.
Iowa State is back in action, Sept. 21-22 at the VCU Shootout.
