TUCSON, Ariz. - The Iowa State men's golf team is in 11th place after round one at the Arizona Intercollegiate. Play was suspended in the second round due to darkness. Teams will finish up the remaining holes in the second round and complete the third round tomorrow.
The Cyclones fired a 304 in the first round, led by newcomer Denzel Ieremia, who carded a 74 to sit in a tie for 25th. Ruben Sondjaja is currently tied for 35th after a first-round 75.
Washington leads the tournament at 277, seven shots ahead of Texas at 284.
