AMES, Iowa - The Iowa State track and field squad begins the 2016 outdoor track and field season Saturday at the Tulsa Duels. The meet at the Hurricane Track and Soccer Stadium will begin at 10 a.m. with field events, with track action beginning at 1 p.m.

A group of 33 student-athletes are making the trip for Iowa State. Among the notables on the men's side include 2015 decathlon All-American
Taylor Sanderson, who will begin his prep for those with a trio of individual events in the discus, javelin and 110m hurdles. Another Cyclone to watch will be Nace Plesko, with the Slovenian Junior National record holder in the shot put looking to make an impact in the performance.
Many of
Andrea Grove-McDonough's middle distance and distance squad will be featured on the women's side. Freshman
Emma Whigham will also be looking to build off on a good start to her ISU career in the indoor season.
