AMES, Iowa - It will literally be a "Cyclone Nation" for the Iowa State track and field program, as the Cyclones hit the road with competitors at five different meets. The Cyclones will take part in two meets on Friday, and be involved in four events on Saturday.
Iowa State's busy weekend begins on Friday in Charlottesville, Virginia with the Cyclones taking part in the Virginia Challenge, while out west ISU will compete in the Stanford Twilight. ISU will have competition again at Virginia on Saturday while also competing in the LSU Alumni Gold Meet in Baton Rouge, the John McDonnell Invitational in Fayetteville, Arkansas and the Musco Twilight in Iowa City.
The Virginia Challenge is a big meet for the Cyclones' women's distance squad, with some of Iowa State's top ladies hitting the track.
Erin Hooker,
Perez Rotich,
Jasmine Staebler and
Erinn Stenman-Fahey will be among the Cyclone competitors on Friday and Saturday. The ISU men will have
Dan Curts and
Christian DeLago in action on Saturday.
The men take center stage at the Stanford Twilight on Friday.
Jacob Aune and
Brandon Wheat will be back in action in the 800, while
Daniel Everett and
Brian Llamas take on the 5,000.
On Saturday,
Nathan Rodriguez will represent Iowa State at Arkansas in the John McDonnell Invitational, taking part in the 1,500-meter run. Further south, the Cyclones throwers and jumpers will go up against challenging fields at LSU.

Christina Hillman,
Jan Jeuschede,
Jhoanmy Luque,
Alexandru Mitirica, Nace Plesko and
Taylor Sanderson will all compete in Baton Rouge.
Last, but not least, is the group of 29 Cyclones that will trek to Eastern Iowa to compete in the Musco Twilight in Iowa City. All of the state's Division I programs will be in action as well as Wisconsin and the Minnesota women's program.
