STILLWATER, Okla. – Iowa State junior
Nick Voke is in a tie for 15th at the NCAA Stillwater Regional after firing a second-round 81 at the Karsten Creek Golf Club this afternoon. Voke is 7-over for the tournament (151).
Stratton Nolen of Oklahoma State and Antoine Rozner of UMKC share the lead in the medalist race at 3-under (141).
A native of Auckland, New Zealand, Voke found himself 9-over through 11 holes after taking a quadruple bogey on the par-4 No. 2 (Voke began his round on the back nine). He battle back to go even-par in his last six holes. The Cyclone star must be the top finisher among all players not among the top-five teams to advance to the NCAA Championship.
Oklahoma State has a commanding lead with one round to go at 576. Oklahoma is in second place, 12 shots back at 588.
Voke returns to the links tomorrow for the third and final round of competition at Karsten Creek.
