STILLWATER, Okla. – Iowa State junior
Nick Voke's outstanding season came to end this afternoon with a final-round 77 at the NCAA Stillwater Regional at Karsten Creek Golf Club. The Cyclone star finished the tournament at 228 in a tie for 22nd.
Kristoffer Ventura of Oklahoma State was the medalist at 216, helping the Cowboys win the tournament (871) and advance to the NCAA Championships at the Eugene Country Club in Eugene, Ore. The top five teams punched their tickets to Eugene. UMKC's Antoine Rozner solidified the lone individual berth to the NCAA finals by finishing second in the medalist race at 217.
A native of Auckland, New Zealand, Voke shot rounds of 70-81-77 this week. He wraps up his season with six top-10 finishes and a 71.54 stroke average, the second-best single-season scoring mark in school history (
Scott Fernandez; 71.27 in 2013).
Voke was named All-Big 12 and earned all-tournament honors at the Big 12 Championship by placing in the top-10 for a school-record third-straight season.
