TUSCON, Ariz. – The Iowa State men's golf team began spring play at the Arizona Invitational this afternoon. ISU is currently in a tie for 7th place after a first-round 302.
Second round play began in the afternoon but the tournament was suspended due to darkness.
Oregon and New Mexico are currently leading the team race at 293.
Cyclone seniors Nick Voke and Ruben Sondjaja and junior Denzel Ieremia all recorded 75s for the Cyclones to sit in a tie for 22nd in the medalist race. Freshman Tripp Kinney turned in a first-round 77.
Players will wrap up their remaining holes of round two and contest the third and final round tomorrow.
