TUSCON, Ariz. – The Iowa State men's golf team finished 10th at the 18-team Arizona Intercollegiate field this afternoon. ISU fired a three-round 896 total in its first event of the spring season.
Oregon claimed the team title at 857.
Denzel Ieremia (75-80-66=221) was the low finisher for the Cyclones, tying for 20th behind a final-round 66 this afternoon. His final round included six birdies and it marks the fifth time this season Ieremia has shot in the 60s. It also marks the fourth time in his career he shot a round of 66 or lower.
Senior Ruben Sondjaja (75-76-73=224) tied for 29th and freshman Tripp Kinney (77-78-71=226) tied for 37th. Kinney moved up 10 spots thanks to his final-round 71.
The Cyclones will return to action on February 20th at the Prestige tournament at PGA West in La Quinta, Calif.
