SKOKIE, Ill. – The Iowa State men's golf team (283) is tied for ninth place after the first round of the Windon Memorial Championship at 283. Miami (Ohio) is in first after carding a 272, four strokes ahead of three teams tied for second.
The second round was underway, but play was halted due to darkness.
True freshman Lachlan Barker led the way for the Cyclones, tallying an even-par 70 to sit in a tie for 21st.
Denzel Ieremia, Tripp Kinney and Danny Daniels all finished round one tied for 29th after carding 71s.
The second round of the tournament will resume tomorrow, followed by the third and final round.
