Cyclones Hold Second-Round Lead In Seattle

UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash. -- The Iowa State men's golf team is in the lead after 36 holes (287-285=572)Â at the Seattle University Redhawk Invitational. The Cyclones will head into the third and final round tomorrow with a one-shot advantage over Northwestern (573).
Freshman Tripp Kinney is pacing the Cyclones sitting in a tie for 3rd place individually (71-68=139). His second-round 68 featured six birdies and tied his lowest 18-hole mark of the season. Senior Ruben Sondjaja is also in the top-10 in 7th place (70-71=141).Â
Senior Nick Voke carded a second-round 71, allowing him to leap eight spots from round one into a tie for 13th (73-71=144).Â
The Redhawk Invitational will conclude tomorrow with the third and final round.Â
