Iowa State Wrestling Opens Season Sunday at Daktronics Open

AMES, Iowa – The Cyclone wrestling team will officially open the season Sunday, Nov. 21 at the Daktronics Open in Brookings, S.D.

Iowa State will enter 25 wrestlers into the field, including 19 that are wrestling attached. Matches are scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. at Frost Arena. Live results and video will be available on FloArena with a subscription.

Five returning NCAA qualifiers will compete for the Cyclones, including returning NCAA National Champion David Carr at 157 pounds. It will be the season-debut for returning qualifiers Zach Redding, Jarrett Degen and Marcus Coleman. At 125 pounds, returning national qualifier Kysen Terukina competed at the Grand View Open last weekend, winning the title.
