Cyclonitas Place Second At The Stanford Intercollegiate

AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State women's golf team tied for second place to cap off the fall season at the Stanford Intercollegiate. The Cyclones carded the lowest 18-hole team score in the final round to knock off 10 top-50 ranked teams.
Karisa Chul-Ak-Sorn carded a one-under round of 70 to place inside the top-five for the second time in her career. With a 208 three-round total, Chul-Ak-Sorn carded her second-lowest 54-hole tally in her career.
Liyana Durisic helped push the Cyclones into a tie for second place with a five-under round of 66 that included four birdies and an eagle on the par-five, seventh hole. Durisic's 66 was the second-lowest 18-hole score in her career.
Taglao Jeeravivitaporn had another strong week, finishing in a tie for 22nd place with rounds of 67, 74 and a final round 73. Jeeravivitaporn finished second on the team with a 214 three-round tally.
Pammy Chookaew concluded her fall season with a tie for 35th place finish after posting a 217 54-hole total. Charley Jacobs rounded out the team's top-five with a 222 total. Jacobs fired a one-under round of 70 during the final day to finish in a tie for 63rd place. Â
This tournament will conclude the fall season. The Cyclones will return to the course on February 5th at the UCF Challenge in Orlando, Fla.
