AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State women's golf team looks to begin their spring season at the UCF Challenge, held in Orlando, Fla. The tournament will consist of three 18-hole days starting Sunday, Feb. 5 and ending with the final round on Tuesday, Feb. 7.

- Iowa State looks to open the Spring Season at the UCF Challenge where they finished nineth the previous season with an 856 (286-289-281) total. Taglao Jeeravivitaporn led the way, finishing in a tie for fourth place with a 207 (67-71-69) 54-hole total.
- Ruby Chou is back in the Cyclones lineup for the first time this season. Last year, Chou finished second on the team in scoring at the UCF Challenge. Chou also joined Jeeravivitaporn at the NCAA Championship after qualifying as an individual out of the NCAA Stanford Regional.
- Karisa Chul-Ak-Sorn concluded the fall season as one of four freshman ranked inside the Top-25 (No. 21 Golfstat, No. 23 Golfweek). Chul-Ak-Sorn earned her career-best finish at the Schooner Fall Classic where she finished in second place with the school's individual 54-hole scoring mark with a 201 (68-69-64) total. Â
- In the final round of the Schooner Fall Classic this fall, Liyana Durisic tied the second-lowest 18-hole score after firing a 65. Durisic's performance at the Stanford Intercollegiate helped the team place second to finish the fall season strong. Â
