Nate McCoy is one of the greatest golfers in Iowa State history. The 2012 Iowa State Gary Thompson Male Athlete of the Year earned All-America honors and qualified for the NCAA Championship as a senior.
McCoy is now enjoying an incredible amateur golfing career, winning Iowa Golf Association Player of the Year in 2021 and 2022. This past season, McCoy dominated the Iowa golfing amateur scene, becoming the first player in Iowa history to win all four major events – Iowa Amateur, Iowa Mid-Amateur, Iowa Match Play and Herman Sani Invitational.
McCoy is currently Director of Handicapping & Course Rating for the Iowa Golf Association and recently talked with John Walters in our latest CyCast about his Cyclone and golfing career.
