Cyclones Eighth After Day One Of The Arizona Intercollegiate

AMES, Iowa - The Iowa State men's golf team concluded their first 18 holes of the Arizona Intercollegiate in Tucson, Ariz. The Cyclones made it through 13 holes of the second round before play was suspended due to darkness. The team currently sits in eighth place through the first day with a team score of 287.
Luke Gutschewski finished the day tied for 17th along with fellow Cyclone Paul Beauvy, both scoring 70. Gutschewski wrapped up his first 18 holes with one eagle and four birdies. Beauvy ended up with three birdies to one bogey.
Nate Vance finished third for the Cyclones in scoring and tied for 39th in the individual standings. Vance totaled five birdies through the first round.
The Cyclones will resume round two tomorrow.Â
