Cyclones Climb the Leaderboard at Prestige at PGA West

LA QUINTA, Calif. - The Cyclones end round two of the Prestige at PGA West at 21 after being in a tie for 23 following the conclusion of round one on Monday, Feb. 19.Â
No. 19 Texas Tech is still controlling the tournament with a score of 24-under-par after two rounds. Cecil Belisle from Kansas is in first for the tournament with a score of nine-under-par.Â
Junior Luke Gutschewski is leading the Cyclones after carding a second round 68, seven strokes better than his first round score. Gutschewski had four birdies on the day. Zach May trails Gutschewski with a two-round score of 145 (72-73). Dianchao Wu is one stroke behind May with a 146 (71-75).Â
Freshman Owen Sawyer is tied for 82 carding a second-round 72, improving his score from round one by three strokes. Paul Beauvy had three birdies this round for an overall score of 153.
Overall, the Cyclones improved their round score from round one by five strokes for a second round score of 288. Â
Playing as an individual in the Prestige at PGA West Individual Tournament, Lukas Pany is tied for 17 improving his round score by three stroke for a 71.Â
The Cyclones will play the last round of the Prestige at PGA West on Wednesday, Feb. 21 at the Greg Norman Course with tee times beginning in the afternoon.Â
