Cyclones Conclude Day One of All-American

HUMBLE, Tex. - The Cyclones conclude day one of the All-American in a tie with Southern Mississippi for 11th with a score of 596 (298-298).Â
Sam Houston is in first after day one after carding a score of four-over-par. Yuki Moriyama from No. 49 UNLV is in first with a score of 140 edging out Yale's Ben Carpenter and Sam Houston's Bret Gray by one stroke.Â
Junior Luke Gutschewski is in a five-way tie for 17th with a score of 146. Gutschewski improved his first round score by two strokes with six birdies through the first two rounds. Paul Beauvy trails Gutschewski by two strokes with three birdies in the first round and five birdies in the second round. In a tie for 57th, Zach May had two birdies within three holes in the opening round of the tournament.Â
Lukas Pany improved his score from the first round by six strokes for a second round score of two-over-par. Pany has seven birdies through the first two rounds. Freshman Owen Sawyer is in a tie for 88th after shooting an opening round 76.Â
Dianchao Wu is competing as an individual in the tournament and is tied for 31st for a two-round score of 159.Â
The Cyclones will play the third and final round of the All-American on Tuesday, March 19th. The third round will begin with a shotgun start at 8 am (CT).Â
