Beauvy, May Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State rising juniors Paul Beauvy and Zach May have been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Teams.

Recognized as one of the top awards for student-athletes, the CSC Academic All-District Teams are awarded for combined performances in competition and in the classroom. Nominees must have at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA, be at least a sophomore academically or athletically and have participated in at least 70 percent of the team competitions throughout the year.

Beauvy was second on the team in stroke average at 72.26, while his 72.10 career stroke average ranks fourth in program history. He turned in a pair of top 10 finishes on the year at the Iowa Fall Classic and the Zach Johnson Invitational, both events won by the Cyclones.

May was third on the team in stroke average at 72.79. May had his best tournament as a Cyclone at the Zach Johnson Invitational, where he finished third with a 209 over 54-holes. He shot a career-low 66 in the opening round, while tallying seven rounds this year below 70.
