CARLSBAD, Calif. - Iowa State junior Paul Beauvy has been named to the PING All-Central Region Team, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America. It is the 12th time that a Cyclone has earned the award, and the first since 2020.Â
Beauvy put together his best season yet in Ames, finishing the year with the fourth-lowest single-season stroke average in school history at 70.91. Over his three years, his 71.71 career stroke average is the second-best in school history.Â
Qualifying for the NCAA Regionals for the first time in his career, Beauvy finished 11th at the NCAA Urbana Regional. It was the 11th Top 12 finish by a Cyclone at a regional in school history, while his 209 was tied for the fourth-best NCAA Regional score in school history. He is the fifth player in school history to have two rounds of 68 or better at an NCAA Regional, and the first since 2019.Â
Beauvy had a career-best five Top 10 finishes this season, including his first career victory at the N.I.T. in February. He shot a 201, tied for the third-best 54-hole score in school history. In the final round, he fired a career-best 64, tied for the third-best round in program history.Â
