A four-time all-state selection and three-time Northeast Iowa Conference (NEIC) individual champion … won the 2009 Class 3A Iowa state individual title at The Harvester Golf Club … was the runner-up Iowa state champion in Class 3A in 2010 … team finished fifth and third, respectively, at the state tournament in his junior and senior seasons … was also a two-time district champion … coached in high school by Rich Gaard … qualified for the Western Junior and finished 10th at the Iowa Amateur in the summer of 2010 … was the team captain on the football team, earning all-district honors as a senior.
