WINTER GARDEN, Fla. ? The Iowa State men's golf team placed second at the Orange County National Triangular Saturday afternoon in Winter Garden, Fla. The 18-hole triangular matched the Cyclones up against Ohio State and Florida Atlantic.
Senior Joe Cermak returned to the links for the Cyclones after sitting out the final fall tournament because of an injury. He led the team, firing a 67.
Chris Baker, Cedric Bertin, Ben Herrera, Adam Seitz, and Ross Menke all saw action as well. This was Herrera's first event as a Cyclone after sitting out the 2006-07 season as a redshirt.
Senior Johnny Larson and Freshman Nathan Leary competed unattached for ISU.
The Cyclones return to action Feb. 25, when they travel to Orlando, Fla. to compete in their first spring tournament at the Rio Pinar Invitational.
