SAN ANTONIO, Texas?The Iowa State men's golf team placed sixth in the 15-team Oak Hills Invitational field Tuesday afternoon in San Antonio, Texas. ISU shot a final-round 300 for a three-round 887 tally.

Texas Tech won the team title at 875, followed by second-place Southeastern Louisiana at 877.

The Cyclones were led by senior Ben Herrera, who carded a three-round 220 tally (74-70-76) to finish in a tie for 16th place. Thomas Lathrop and Michael Wuertz tied for 28th at 223.

Philipp Westermann (Southeastern Louisiana) won the medalist race with a 2-under par three-round total of 211.

ISU is back in action at the Mobile Invitational, Feb. 21-23 in Mobile, Ala.
