Golfers Wrap Up Fall Season

-Iowa State wrapped up its fall season ranked No. 43 nationally by Golfstat and No. 47 by Golfweek.
-In ISU's three stroke play events, the Cyclones finished sixth or better, including a pair of third-place showings at the Badger Invitational and Windon Memorial.
-The Cyclones were led by sophomore Lachlan Barker, who was the runner-up medalist at the Badger Invite with a 206. He had two-top 10 performances.
-Barker fired a first-round 65 at the Fighting Irish Classic, the lowest round of his career, to help him notch a career-low 203 and a tie for seventh finish.
-Barker went 4-1 at the Big 12 Match Play Tournament and is ranked No. 82 nationally by Golfweek. He has a team-low 70.56 stroke average.
-At the Windon Memorial, the Cyclones finished third and were led by Tripp Kinney, who tied his career low with a 207. Kinney was the runner-up medalist, the best finish of his career.
-Kinney is second on the team in stroke average (70.67) and is ranked No. 94 nationally by Golfstat.
-For the third time in the last five seasons, Iowa State earned a berth at to the NCAA Championships in 2017-18. ISU was among 27 teams nationally to make the NCAA finals three times since 2014 .
-ISU finished in the top-20 at the NCAA Championship for the second-straight season in 2018, tying for 19th (891).
-It was ISU's ninth NCAA Championship appearance: 1939, 1940, 1947, 1949, 1952, 1953, 2014, 2017, 2018.
-Iowa State ended the 2018 season ranked No. 47 nationally by Golfweek.
-Head coach Andrew Tank is in his ninth season as the Cyclone leader. He's led ISU to unprecedented success: Three NCAA Championship appearances, Five NCAA Regional berths, Three All-Americans, 14 individual medalists and nine tournament titles.
