BLUFFTON, S.C. – The Iowa State men's golf team finished runner-up at the Colleton River Collegiate, firing a 291 this afternoon for a 54-hole 858 tally.
Michigan State won the team title, finishing six strokes ahead of the Cyclones at 852.
A pair of Cyclones earned top-10 performances in Lachlan Barker and Tripp Kinney. Barker placed third at 210 and Kinney tied for fifth at 212.
Barker, who notched his third top-10 of the season, was four shots behind the winner after carding a final-round 73.
Kinney also notched his third top-10 finish of the season with a final-round 72, the low score of the day for the Cyclones. Kinney was at par or lower in all three rounds.
The Cyclones are back in action at the National Invitation Tournament, March 18-19 in Tucson, Ariz.
