-Iowa State made a steady cliimb in the national rankings from the beginning of the spring season to the end. ISU began the spring ranked No. 84 by Golfstat and finished at No. 53 by Golfstat and No. 50 by Golfweek.Â
-Iowa State's season record was 44-40-3 with a 28-13-1 mark in the spring.Â
-Iowa State was runner-up at the Colleton River Collegiate, its best finish of the season. ISU shot a season-low 276 in the first round.Â
-Iowa State placed ninth at the competitive field at The Prestige behind a final-round 277. The Cyclones defeated four of the 11 teams ranked in the nation's top-50 and recorded a season-low 851.
-Senior Tripp Kinney was named Preseason All-American by Golfweek. Kinney, who was an All-American in 2019 after qualifying for the NCAA Championship as an individual a year ago.Â
-Kinney, who ended the season ranked No. 68 Â nationally by Golfstat, led the Cyclones in stroke average (70.89) to break his own single-season scoring record. He also led the team in top-10s (3), rounds below par (9) and rounds in the 60s (4).Â
-Kinney finished third at the Badger Invite, tied for ninth at the Fighting Irish Classic and tied for fifth at the Arizona Intercollegiate. He tied his career low with a 65 in the final round at the Arizona Intercollegiate.Â
-Kinney's head-to-head stroke play record is 391-93-12 with a 14-12-2 mark vs. current top-50 players.Â
-Junior Lachlan Barker was second on the team in stroke average (71.94) and his career 71.72 scoring average is currently No. 1 in school history. Barker ended the year ranked No. 213 in the nation by Golfweek.Â
-Frank Lindwall led the Cyclones at the Big 12 Match Play Tournament, going 2-0-3, and notched his first top-10 of the season at the Colleton River Collegiate.Â
-Iowa State was on pace to earn a NCAA Regional bid until the season shut down because of the COVID-19 virus.Â
-Head coach Andrew Tank finished his 10th season as the Cyclone leader. He's led ISU to unprecedented success: Three NCAA Championship appearances, Six NCAA Regional berths, Three All-Americans, 15 individual medalists, 2 NCAA Championship individual qualifiers and nine tournament titles.Â
