Barker Notches Third-Straight Top-10 At Spartan Collegiate

St. Simons Island, Ga. – The Iowa State men's golf team finished 11th at the Spartan Collegiate at Sea Island. The Cyclones climbed two spots after a third-round total of 284 and finished the tournament with a 54-hole 871 (298-289-284) total.
Lachlan Barker fired a team-low 68 and totaled six birdies in his final round. Barker has placed inside the top-10 in all three spring tournaments, tying for ninth at 213 this week. It was Barker's 13th career top-10 finish, tying for seventh all-time in school history.
Tripp Kinney had his best tournament this spring season, finishing in a tie for 12th place. Kinney started his tournament with a 74 and then fired back-to-back 70s. Kinney totaled 10 birdies and had his season low 54-hole score of 214.
The Cyclones will tee it up next at the National Invitational Tournament on March 20th.
