Iowa State Places Fourth At The Big 12 Women's Championship

HOCKLEY, Texas – The No. 38 Iowa State women's golf team placed fourth at the Big 12 Women's Championship Sunday afternoon. With an 887 three-round total and a final round 294, the Cyclones knocked off three ranked teams in No. 50 Oklahoma, No. 31 TCU and No. 22 Texas Tech.
Taglao Jeeravivitaporn and Liyana Durisic led the way for the Cyclones this week. Jeeravivitaporn and Durisic finished in a tie for eighth place after each carding a 72 this afternoon.
This is now Jeeravivitaporn's fifth Top 10 finish this season and seventh in her career. Durisic earned her third Top 10 this year and now has five career Top 10 finishes.
Warda Amira Rawof recorded four birdies en route to a final round 73. Rawof concluded her weekend inside the Top 15 (T13) with a 223 (75-75-73) three round total.
The Cyclones round one leader, Ruby Chou, placed in a tie for 15th after a 77 in the final round. Chou tied her season-low in Friday's opening round and recorded eight birdies this weekend.
Charley Jacobs finished in 38th place and recorded the only eagle for the Cyclones on hole eight in round two.
After yet another strong season, the Cyclones are a virtual lock to make their twelfth-straight NCAA regional. The team will find out which Regional they will play in come Wednesday, April 27, at 3 p.m. CT on GOLF Channel (College Central).
