HUTCHINSON, Kan. – The Iowa State men's golf team finished 10th at the Big 12 Men's Golf Championship. The Cyclones carded a 1190 (299-300-290-301) four-round total.
Paul Beauvy led the team with a 292 (72-74-73-72) tally and placed in a tie for 21st place. Beauvy's best rounds came during the first and final round where he carded two-over rounds of 72. The freshman knocked in nine birdies and an eagle during round one.
Luke Gutschewski and Zach May placed in a tie for 36th in the individual standings. Gutschewski and May carded four-round tallies of 300 with May coming one shot short of tying his career-low (71).Â
Nate Vance and Lukas Pany rounded out the team's top-five. Vance finished in 43rd place and Pany placed 44th. Vance's best round came during the third day where he posted a two-over round of 72.
The Cyclones regular season has come to an end. The team will wait for the NCAA Regional participant announcement on Wednesday, May 3rd at 12 p.m. CT on Golf Channel (College Central).
